    Help with making a pattern!

Hallo! I am making patters in a style similar to those vests or ghawazee jackets (where the strap area comes about halfway across the top of the cup) for two customers/clients(whatever word), I got the first one made okay but the second is being very trying. The woman is quite a bit fuller in (every aspect) than myself...and I...just can't get the strap area to work! I don't know what to do.. I don't want the strap to be super wide, but would that be my only option?

Please please, any advice is very very welcome!

Sorry is this is unintelligible...I am rather stressed...these need done by wednesday.....c:: *twitch*

I made a few ghawazee coats for people who differ widely in size, and what I did was cut up their old t-shirts so I could get the shoulders right. Does the second customer have an old shirt that fits her well in the shoulders you can use?

Probably not, since this is only for a halloween costume(it's entirely of shag pile faux fur).. But thanks for the idea(put it in mental idea box)!

karnak, sounds similar to what I do- I use a shirt pattern to do a mock up & actually put it on my dummy & cut away- deadlines tho- ugh.

if it is a halloween costume, does it matter as much? it is probably easier to cut down something that is too wide (but fits otherwise) than to add more afterwards, so I would go wide & then hack away if necessary.
