I've been getting a move on with my troupe costumes, the three bras are almost finished, I just need to add beaded swags to the bottom, and I'm waiting for smaller blue gems to arrive so that I can add them to the leopard bits, and the skirts are cut out and ready to sew.

Nice colors Firefly!
I made a baby cardigan with sleeve epaulet out of the cashmere yarn I dyed last month on the stove top.
I also finished 2 new costumes.
The Coral Sea and Into the Forest.

I love those colors! Personally, I think you should add to both the straps and cups! I think you should embellish the straps with trim and do that same technique to trim the top of the cup.
I also think you should bead around the crystal in the center and maybe trim the bra band."East coast girls are hip." ~ The Beach Boys, 1965

Re: What are you working on...in November???
I've been working on this tribaret costume on and off for a while. I need your advice on how to finish as I'm tired of changing my mind and having to undo and redo a lot of it. Besides, I need to move on to the next project.
This is the bra in pretty much its' final incarnation, it's only missing a center medallion.

I've added some fringe to the left of the back medallion. But now I'm thinking that it looks better without the fringe the way it's to the right and just adding a couple of much smaller kuchi medallions to fill in some of the empty space

What do you think? More fringe? Get rid of the fringe? A few tassels spread out? Other?
(Yes, I'm a Pisces in case you were wondering).

Sheesh, you ladies are very talented.
Does altering and reattaching things count as a project? If so, I've got boat loads that I'm working on here and there.
Never really getting one done at a time.

Re: What are you working on...in November???
I'm crafting more BD jewel trees, cleaning the closet (dance and regular clothing), and I did minor alterations to this orange costume last night. It belong to a dance friend, it fits her perfectly but she was never comfortable with the too generous cleavage and the high slit on the leg.
She wanted to wear on Friday and we didn't have time to go shopping for similar color fabric. So I already had a left over piece of green lycra in my stuff. It can be easely removed if she decide to sell it later or wants it back to the orinigal look. Here is the final result:

Re: What are you working on...in November???
I think a little bit more fringe is needed to tie it in perfectly with the bra, I would add more kuchi pieces to the right. Having a few bits that break up the lower line of the belt may help too. Here is a quick photoshop image of what I would do. (I also added a tassel on the left to balance it out)

Re: What are you working on...in November???
I haven't started working on it yet, but we have a Fire Pot Dahlia in our backyard that I was in love with, so I took lots of pictures of and decided it was my new inspiration for a costume. I sort of put it in the back of my mind...A couple of weeks later I'm in Vancouver and I happen upon an amazing fabric store, Dressew (cue the angels singing)...what did I find? AMAZINGLY perfect fabric. It was pricey, but I had to splurge!
