    Princess Party Question

I'm doing a princess party in a couple weeks and I remember finding the perfect thread for ideas. But I've looked through almost every one I can find and it might be gone or I'm missing it completely. Anyway, I wanted to sit the girls down and have them make their own hip scarves. My question what kind of material I need and how much. Also, what is the safest type of glue to buy for this?

    Suggestions??

Try searching in Google, then convert the link from the old system to the new one with a little cut & paste on your browser line.

I can't even imagine this. Most fabric paints and embellishment glues take hours to dry. If you were working with older teens or adults, you could use hot glue to slap trim and appliques onto some base fabrics, but I wouldn't get that anywhere near little kids--they'd burn themselves and probably melt half of the trims, too. I don't know. You can buy spray glitter in aerosol cans and dust fabric with that (again, probably not a good choice for really young kids). You might be able to get enough adhesion to hold things together for a few minutes out of a glue stick (gummy mess) or an aerosol spray adhesive (pre-treat the appliques with the product and store them on plastic wrap so this won't turn into a crafting nightmare, too). Probably the best bet would be to let them draw on lengths of muslin with markers and hope the bleed through dries quickly enough that they won't stain their regular clothes when they wear them. You could pre-embellish the muslin strips with cheap fringe before the event to make it look more fancy.

    Aha! I found it!

Looks like I'll have to do the trim first which is fine and then they can decorate them with glitter glue, stick on gems, etc.
