    ISO Pattern for drop-crotch pants

I know how to make pantaloons/harem pants, I know of the Folkwear ethnic pants pattern. But, I'd like to try out drop-crotch harem pants. Yes, yes, yes, they can be terribly unflattering ;-), but that's why I am looking for a pattern, to go straight to a cut that works.

    Stop--Hammer time.

I can tell I'll have that song in my head all day. Gee, thanks Steffi (nah it's cool he is a local Oakland hero)! ;) But seriously, you can easily find 'hammer pants' patterns online that may actually work for you. You can also search for 'parachute pants'.

    An example:

That old Simplicity pattern seems to be the Holy Grail of vintage 80's trousers, but this one might be a little easier to find since it's still in print. http://www.kwiksew.com/Catalog/cat_detail.cfm?pid=3701 There are also some instructions here--a bit more DIY than a pre-made pattern, but perhaps still useful. http://www.ehow.com/how_5088980_make...mer-pants.html

There are a couple of pants patterns by Arabella on my site that may be worth a look:

You may not want to MAKE it exactly like this but this is where they are coming from....
