    To the Costumers out there.

I have a Eman with a lycra mermaid skirt that is highly beaded. The problem is that it weighs/pulls the skirt down. I also don't truely like this style of skirt on me. Would anyone be willing to decontruct it and make it into a belt? About how much would it cost?

    Thanks!

_MG_7431.JPG This is the actual costume... on me. I much rather have a belt, but I LOVE the bra and colors.

it looks fabulous on you, but I understand what you mean. Those style of skirts (on me) tend to slide down and expose crackage and seem to be minimizing on my hips.

Email shadiabead@aol.com she is a miracle worker in costumes and will do something fabulous for you. she doesn't have a website but here is a sample of her work http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1679488_n.jpg

I'm waiting for I think January to commission something from her, I have everything I need, just lack the talent and skill set to put it together :-)

    Thank you for the compliments!

I have that same problem Kina. I love mermaid skirts, but still on the fence about how I look in them. I'll keep her in mind, does she do beadwork?

I know it will probably labor intensive as the person will more than likely have to rebead since the beading isn't easily converted into a belt or else I would have done it.

Is it only the slippage problem that makes you want to convert this costume? I've had great luck with sewing small pieces of that rubbery, puffy shelf liner inside something that was slipping.

Yes, she does and she's amazing. All the work on the costume that the lovely Aurel was wearing was hand beaded by Shadia.

The costume in person is blinding in it's bling.

I had given the wrong numbers in an order I placed to Bella a couple of years ago, when I got the costumes everything was fabulous the bras were ginormous. Easily at least 3 cup sizes too big. There was no way I could fix them on my own (and I'm pretty handy with alterations) so I took them to Shadia.

She deconstructed and reconstructed them. You can't tell her beading apart from Bella's.
