what are you working on in December?
Yay I am so excited I get to start my favorite thread this month. Heres a link to last months:
http://www.bhuz.com/showthread.php?5......in-November
This month I plan on finishing my current project which is a burgundy and black with rose accents bra, belt, skit, and cuff set. I have the skirt done and here is progress of one cup of the bra. the floral motiff is in black and the crystal in rose. I cant wait to bling out the other cup in pure crystals and connect it to this!

"Bodice" refers to the shape and size and typically is meant for your front torso.
Here is a fullr one: http://www.angeltrim.com/index.php?m..._image&pID=378 A liitle smaller: http://www.angeltrim.com/index.php?m..._image&pID=665 And of course smaller ones, and probably bigger too.

That is gorgeous!
I'm still working on my pearl costume. I am determined to finish it before I start on anything else. I just have to finish embellishing the back, finish the fringe and add lining. It should be done soon...I hope! I am dying to start on new projects. Just dying! .w.:"East coast girls are hip." ~ The Beach Boys, 1965

Re: what are you working on in December?
Curtains.....I made the sheer's last preggo time and half-made the other ones but didn't finish because I just couldn't make myself. It's been on the back burner ever since. We did some remodeling this summer and now our little one has his own room and "big boy" bed. I took the curtains/hardware from our room and will be using it for his. It's not a good match in terms of age (should have some fun kid fabric) but is affordable right now ..g.: I had to buy some new brackets for the rod and some serger thread plus the stiff heading stuff that was 49cents a yard.
I have been working on the left hand side one. I cut off the junk header I had made and added some stiff 4" stuff with my serger (we are becoming close friends ..l;,...she is a dinosaur) then I hemmed the edges. Now I need to hem the bottom then start all over again on the other side. The sheer's were so much easier. This upholstery type fabric is so HEAVY and it's a struggle to manhandle it though the machine/iron etc......This fabric has to be around 115" or so wide. They won't be perfect but they will be done enough. I'm not going to line them because it's more $$ than I want to spend and it would be a PITA for me right now.
I also made a log carrier a few weeks ago. I've lined it with some green scrap fabric since this picture was taken. I keep telling myself to finish up the boring projects so I can get to the "fun" ones! The curtains are in this little man's new room.

Re: what are you working on in December?
I put bd projects aside for this weekend, need to take care of a few ugly spots in the house. This morning I went to the fabric district and bought the supplies for a roman shade I would like to install next to our bathroom. Just finished glueing the battens, waiting for them to dry until tomorrow morning

Re: what are you working on in December?
Almost done with my first and probably last :) roman shade! Hubby mounted the headrail, I just need to hem it a bit more so it doesn't touch the floor and find a weight rod to put into the hem. Yay! Total project cost: $28.6

Re: what are you working on in December?
Yes, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I used the instructions from this website to create a pattern. The instructions are very detailed, plus there is a calculator that calculates the amount of folds and lines and creates a list of all the materials needed. It's pretty neat!

Re: what are you working on in December?
May I post what I finished in december?
I bought a while back a gorgeous arabesque skirt set I wanted to wear with my yellow-multicolor bra-belt-set but decided I need to bring more yellow to the skirt and more color to the sleeves. So I sewed some yellow ruffles for the skirt and some pharaonics butterfly-inspired drapes for the arms and here it is:

Another costume just finished:

I bought the costume from Sarablue, a basic set with no decoration except the two rhinestone brooches and added the fringes and rhinestones ornaments all around the belt and on the bra.
