    L Rose question

    Hi all! I am going to order a dance bra from L Rose. I have never ordered a top from them before. I usually get skirts. Anyhoo, I am not sure if I want a banded one or not. Does anyone have either one or both? I'd like your opinion if one is a better option than the other.

    I almost always go with a banded waist band on everything she makes. :) Laura is a great designer and will be happy to talk to you if you want.

    I'm a DD and always get a banded top. I tuck it under my bra so it doesn't shift up when I lift my arms. It's also fine untucked but I like extra security. It works better for a full bust.

    we went for banded for the troupe. looks a little les "bra" like, and slightly more coverage for the well endowed... and since for most of the tops you actually wear a real bra underneath, the banded ones are easier to cover the bra with.

    We just got our troupe costumes from LRose and we went with the banded. There are seven of us with various chest sizes and shapes and every top looks great! You can also flip the band under and pin if you want a little less coverage. We also opted for the pinched front and the ladies that are less well endowed were thrilled that the pinch gave them cleavage!

    I can't say enough good things about LRose. I was very nervous about ordering all these costumes but every one of them is gorgeous and fit so well!

    I'm hoping to have a picture soon to post.

    My favorite half tops are banded with a half pinch. I like the half pinch sweetheart top with cold shoulders and circular drape sleeves. It gives me cleavage but not so much i'm oozing out. Depending on your proportions the full or half pinch will be awesome!

    I like the half pinch banded also. The unbanded tops often have to be pinned extensively to cover the bra up, especially front and center.

    My troupe and student troupe order from Lrose alot. My only complaint is that the shoulder and armscye often need alterations (that involve removing the sleeve). This seems to be especially true for larger-busted dancers who order the larger sizes. Its like they don't quite scale the patterns up properly; the shoulders get scaled up too much. I wish they would work on that.

    i prefer the half pinch to the full pinch also

    in the over 30 outfits we've ordered sofar we've only once had a sizing issue, and they were very quick and helpfull in remaking it;

    especially for made to measure they are my best experience ever with ordering online!!!

    wow. thanks for all the info ladies. I am a D/DD so I guess I will go for the banded. What is the difference between a half pinch and a full pinch?

    For me the full pinch can show my bra connector between the cups and the half pinch covers it up nicely. Full pinch = Less coverage than half. I don't have much space in between the "girls" so with my anatomy the half pinch works best. If you have a broader chest the full pinch might work without showing any hardware underneath.

    For practice/class wear I would totally recommend the banded, half pinch.

    The full pinch (no band) tops look really nice on slim, small busted ladies. It looks like an accident waiting to happen on larger busted ladies.

    They also have the sweetheart pinch which is nice.
