Thread: Snow Goddess...third times a charm!

So we had snow again here in central NC and on Christmas! I couldn't resist the urge to do more snow Goddess photos. These are the third set I have done since 2009. These were the hardest though, b/c I had noone to help me. Everyone is getting tired of it, so I lugged out my tripod and new wireless shutter release and tried to work fast. The winds would gust and blow snow down on me and the camera but they were worth it.
I love snow..but only for 1 or 2 days! LOL

Wow.. You look amazing! You almost have as much snow as we do in Norway! Lol! I also think the snow is fun for about 2-3 days.. :p But sadly, we have it for about 5 months :S Amazing photos!

Can't agree with you more about the snow being fun for about 2 or 3 days; I grew up in one of the snowest areas of the US and I do not miss shoveling snow twice a day. Maryland is so much better but I would give anything to move back to Florida.

in some of the pics you could see the remote in my hand and the first set i had a comb tucked in the front of my hip belt. LOL. I had to clone them all out. you can see a couple bloopers from the FB link. LOL

They are all beautiful photos but in that last one you look breath-taking!

Those are beautiful photos, but I could never do that! I went out in the cold today with so many layers on I felt like that kid in A Christmas Story who couldn't put his arms down!

I love that I can see the snowflakes against your skirt and hair.

Love the first and the last one! I want to do a snow shoot as well, but right now we have more snow than you can imagine - so going anywhere outside is something you'd better not do.

Love a good snow photo, these are great. Taking them yourself is doubly impressive.

Thanks everyone! I just was in my backyard. I had really wanted to go down this little pathway ..it looked cool w/ all these trees overhear. I did my Organic Armor Warrior Goddess photos down there. Anyway, it was too far to walk through the snow carrying the tripod, ect...LOL

**The ones in the red costume, my oldest son took. The ones in pink my hubby took. They both did a great job. I am a professional photographer, so I ended up doing all the editing for them in photoshop, ect.

Wow - I love your pics! They are really cool (in it's double meaning ).

BTW: I especially love your light pink costume. The skirt is to die for. Could you please tell me, where I could buy one of those skirts?!

I bought that costume from Audra Evans. She dyed the skirt herself. She makes beautiful silk veils. She is on bhuz. Love her stuff.

Those are beautiful Monika. Are they shot in the same place as the autumn pictures with the armor? I love the pruple against the snow.

Pretty close. I did these just in my backyard. I had wanted to go down the little pathway next to my yard, where I did the Warrior ones with the Armor, but it was too far of a walk through the snow lugging my tripod and camera. LOL. I was actually pretty disappointed b/c those woods looked so good. The snow loomed overhead on all the branches....sigh, but noone would help me!..by that point I was freezing and it was actually still snowing.

I almost did more Organic Armor, but I couldnt decide on a skirt. I didn't want to do white and I couldn't make up my mind. LOL

If we get another batch of snow, I plan to do some more Organic Armor. I just have to plan my skirt or fabric in advance.
