Thread: Where to shop for Belly Covers!?!

Hello! I need to get myself a nude belly cover for an upcoming show. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on where to look? I saw some on Dahlal.com but their size is small/medium and I would need more of an XSmall size. I also need it to arrive within 2 weeks so I would need an American or Canadian supplier.

Seconding Sugar Petals, I am a happy customer of many years. Good products from a long time belly dance business woman. I believe their smallest body stocking is around US size 6 though.

I have also had a good experience with Red Hot Dancewear's body stockings. Looks like their small might be closer to a US 4.

Both should be good about answering emails based on my experience. They also can probably do custom work, though that might take longer than two weeks.

Thank you everyone who has posted. I did a bit of research yesterday and it seems it would either take too long or cost too much to get one in my petite size asap. Hopefully Qamar or Jennah can help me for this upcoming show. I do intend on getting one custom made for my tinyness anyway. So thank you!!! xox

Some mainstream dance and theatrical stores sell mesh leotards to use as costume bases, and those will come in smaller sizes. You could adapt one of those, or possibly even wear it as is, depending on your costume. There have also been threads on Bhuz about making belly covers out of fishnet hose (Lauren_'s tutorial is here http://bellydancestuff.com/costuming...tstocking.html), and that could be a quick fix while you are waiting for a custom order.

I have some from Sugarpetals, and the rest are from TanyaLV. lol They're a UK company, and these particular ones are thong, which is ok for me, but they make regular as well. BUT what I LOVE about them is that they have clear straps already built in. They can be over shoulder, criss cross, or halter. I LOVE them and everyone comments on how great they are. : )
