    MoroccanOil scent?

On another board we are trying to figure out the scent of that expensive MoroccanOil hair stuff. It's way to expensive for a bunch of silicone, so my buying it is out of the question. But some of the other girls were oohing and aahing over the scent, and now I'm curious!

Tanya, I've been warned that some of those Amazon sellers are disreputable. They're cutting the real stuff with cheap stuff and passing it off as the real product. I don't know how someone would do that, but that's what I'd heard, and when I went and read some reviews there they were saying the same thing.

If that link is to exactly what you got, that's not what I'm talking about. This is what I'm trying to match a scent for:

Is this the one containg argan oil...saw it in my haridressers.
It's used in all kinds of products in Morocco and I intend getting more when I go in the Spring. It's not that cheap there either as it's only produced in one region.I've also got a photo of the trees that produce the oil .. along with the goats that can climb them to get at the stuff. Maybe it can help us climb trees as well as get a shine on our hair

    Hi Ladies!

After reading about this product, I thought I'd give it a shot since my hair is really dry. I found MoroccanOil on Soap.com and shipping is free!

According to their web site, it's several things. Here's a link explanining all the scents. I love this stuff. It helps my hair through the dry cold Maine winters.

Except that is not the same product. It does sound heavenly, though.

    Thumbs up Re: MoroccanOil scent?

i've been using name brand moroccan oil for a year and a half now and it's been good to me. i can really tell a difference :) it's a good investment. i buy moroccan oil light, which is not as heavy as the regular formulation. it's meant for people with fine or lighter colored hair. it works great in my fine hair

    Re: MoroccanOil scent?

I finally got a chance to run by a salon and sniff this. BUT... all they had was the light version so I don't know if it's different than the regular. In the light version I detected something like suntan oil and light, white florals. Maybe sandalwood vanilla, cocoa butter, with some complementary florals. Now I can't find the description I used to have of the scent to compare what I'm detecting to what it reportedly is.

    Ingredients list:
cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, cyclomethicone, butylphenyl methylpropional, argania spinoza kernel oil, linseed extract, fragrance supplement, D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, coumarin, benzyl benzoate and alpha-isomethyl ionone.

For a similar product, One 'N Only Argan Oil found at Sally Beauty, the ingredients are dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethiconol, C12-15, alkyl benzoate, fragrance, argania spinosa kernel oil, Yellow 11 and Red 17.

    Re: MoroccanOil scent?

I don't know what it is, but when I first started using it, all of my coworkers were asking me what new perfume I was wearing, my mom told me my hair smelled heavenly, and I actually caught my husband smelling my hair.

Not only does it smell fabulous, but I, too, think it's a miracle in a bottle. It doesn't feel crunchy or sticky, and it creates great definition in my waves/curls!

I am a trained wildlife biologist. One thing that I have been trained to do is identify plants by their scent. The floral tones in the Moroccan Oil are Honey Suckle with hints of Jasmin. You are welcome. Go get perfume with those scents but be careful other ingredients in the perfumes you find with these scents can scew the way it reacts with you own natural pheromones so make sure you try it before you buy it! Good luck!
