Thread: Fishnet belly cover with straps - don't want to make my own

I know the fishnet stocking subject has been discussed quite a bit here, and I have read all of the old threads. The general consensus was that it's best to make one's own stocking with Danskin fishnet tights. However, I cannot sew and I don't have the time or inclination to do so. Does anybody know (established business or a handy individual) who would make these in "Light Toast" with clear straps attached and preferably attached to a panty? Thanks ;-)

So are you taking about a full body fishnet or mesh hose? (as opposed to stocking, which need a garter belt to hold them up.) Sugar Petals has them although you will have to attach the straps yourself. there are also a couple of vendors on E-bay who I have heard good things about. Mainly from the UK.

Actually, I was unclear. What I really meant to say was a cover for the midriff only, made of fishnet as opposed to regular mesh or powernet. I have a nice midriff cover from Flamenco Diva, but I prefer the look of fishnet. There was a site called Unicorn that had fishnet ones but without straps and only in a suntan color which might be kind of dark for me. I think I'll send them an email and see if they can make a custom one. thanks ;-)

For real fishnet, I've previously resorted to buying a full-length body stocking (including legs) at a...ahem... 'naughty lingerie' shop, and chopping the legs down to underwear size. Not the best, but it'll do in a pinch.

Bashusha makes the best fishnet style belly covers I've ever seen. I can't remember if she is on bhuz or not, but here is her facebook profile:

I like see-fit body stockings a lot, but I don't think they don't offer true fishnet. Same with most of the other companies I've ordered through -- sugarpetals, flamenco diva, Dahlal, etc.

I like all my body stockings, but these mesh ones are only good for covering stretch marks, really. They don't offer much 'bulge control,' they make your belly button look like a cabbage patch kid, and worst of all, they darken in streaks when you sweat!

Powerful fishnet 'airbrushes' stretchmarks AND offers a girdle effect the others don't offer, without *looking* like you're hiding anything at all! The open weave means it blends with your skintone from a distance and up close it looks like fishnet, which people think of as 'sexy.'

Sadly, the Danskin ones, which had a 32% lycra content, seem to have been discontinued. Closest I've found is Capezio seamless pro fishnets, which have 20%. The ones from the naughty lingerie shops are nice in that they already have straps, but they don't have anywhere near the lycra content I want! So no girdle effect, and not very durable. Still they'll offer the no-sweat-marks and see-through-sexy effect of fishnet, so better for closeup work than the mesh ones.

Cutting off the legs and attaching straps is insanely easy. You should be able to pay a local seamstress or sewing hobbyist to do it, they wouldn't need to be a dancer. It should take them less than 10 minutes to do the job.

Thanks everyone, this gives me enough information to keep me busy for a while!

Very easy, and I'm extremely sewing challenged. I essentially made a no-sew cover out of fishnet tights. I cut off the legs, and then I hooked on clear straps from a strapless bra. (Sometimes strapless bras come with straps with hooks on them, so you can convert the bra from strapless to one with straps, and sometimes they even come with more than one set of straps--one in clear plastic and one in the colour of the bra.) I did stitch the straps on by hand for extra security, but the hooks probably would have held on their own, too, just by hooking them through the waistband of the hose. But the sewing was no more difficult than sewing on a button.

I want a Bashusha Original! They're absolutely gorgeous under lights. It's a very rich look.

Good point! Didn't think of that.

I have tried the fishnet stocking thing, but I hate the thick wasteband top. Does anyone have an idea of how to get rid of that and secure it?
