Thread: Veil - Wings?

Hello ladies,

I was wondering if you guys have heard of the wings made of silk veil (basically, veils with sticks). I saw an Ad for them a few days back, and now I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I think there is someone in the Massachusetts area who makes them. Also Silkdancer will be coming out with a line of them soon.

Or are the wings connected to the neck like Isis wings are and just made of silk?

Nope, not the voi.
It doesn't necessarily attach to the neck but it does have a piece of material that goes accross your neck (making it easy to discrad during a performace).

Hmmm sounds intriguing and would float nicely being silk. I'd check the retail thread and send an inquiry! There are some talented veil mavens on Bhuz for sure!!!

I make silk butterfly wings that use rods, but I don't think that is what you are after. The one I think you want is like the Flags some poi dancers use.

I'm a big Stargate fan... kinda weird that this was the episode I watched last night... there was a horrible attempt at belly dance along with use of silk wings:

LOL! that is so early Star trek-ish.

As for the silk veil winged dancer on fairy cove, the way the veil wings sit on her back they look really odd to me, maybe it was just that dancer which I found a little boring, so went into picky mode in my head.

We made our first Wings last year, which I sold the first pair to Bozenka who travelled across the globe with them, bringing orders.....
Pricing is an additional $10/pc over the half circles - so wings can be used in different sizes.

You will see the first pair of wings video is an 8mm 45x108 pair of wings.


I will post some more pics and info shortly.
We have been so busy, it can be a challenge to get all that info in one spot.
I am glad to see your asking as there are lots of ways of dancing with wings, much is new yet to come to dance choreos with wings I believe in 2011!
