What is your "can't live without it" favorite costume?
It can be one you've had for years and will never part with, or one that you've seen somewhere and really really want. Please post pictures if you've got them! :-D Can't pick one? Post a couple.
I have difficulty answering this question for myself, because I made some of my costumes, and I think my "can't live without it" feelings might be biased by the hours and hours I've spent working on them.

Re: What is your "can't live without it" favorite costume?
Thank you! I bought it on ebay about 8-10 years ago. According to the listing, the seller had inherited it from a dancer's estate but didn't know anything more about it. I absolutely love it, though - it is all hand worked and just fits like a dream. :) I have to do a good bit of upkeep on it, but it is worth it!

I agree- that is fantastic.
I have to pick one to keep... I usually keep them all... But I guess I see my Mata Hari as an art piece- so definitely keep that one:

But as far as a costume I wear the most:

I don't have actual "costumes" yet, but my favorite pieces are a cost plus style coint belt and bra with belly chain. Dancing in them makes me feel exotic.

Could I nominate not a costume, but my dirty old Turquoise size B zills? They are not my first choice for performance, but they have been with me through a lot of abuse.

Sarah, your costumes always have such ornate vintage feel to them. So timeless. Beautiful!
My mermaid costume which I recently finished (and now have decided that I want to make some changes to the bra lol so I guess it's not done) I could never sell. It took just over 100 hours to make, over 80 hours of that hand sewing. I told my mom that if anything happens to me, to bury me in it lol.

And as far as my favourite that I wear the most and am most drawn to (also homemade), my "wedding cake" as it has so been nicknamed. It has ivory chiffon straps that can attach to the bra over the clear ones as well.
