Thread: Belly Dance shops in Dubai?

Does anyone know is there any good belly dance shops in Dubai? I've been there about 10 years ago and remember seen some belly dance items there, but i wasn't dancing back then, so those were probably just some turist items. But now i'm going to travel there again and i hope to find some nice shops. So girls, help me!

there are only beaded tops and hip scraves for tourists. and the shop men insist they are professional costumes. i asked if the bellydancers in dubai wear those and the men said yes, of course. also beaded tops and skirts sets but again don't think any dancers would wear them. for female tourists to wear for their husband maybe.

in some craft shops in expensive mall, they might have one or two dance costumes but not nice quality at all, not nice design, and the bra is not wearable (hard cone shape).

i saw hipscraves, not the best quality. and you have to bargain a lot.

if you want to buy costumes you may go to a dance show and ask the dancers if they have anything for sale. have a nice trip!

Oh well, that's what i was guessing too. Maybe i'll just shop gold jewellery

Gold Jewelry would be fine too

Agree with the posters above, there are no costume shops here, all you can get is the Syrian-made tacky costumes which are sold in the souq by the creek. You'll have far more success in the gold souq
