Has anyone taken out loops from a Great Loop?

Hi, so I love how great loops look, finally purchased one here on bhuz, and as I suspected there's too much looped fringed on the bra for my frame. The middle fringe isn't a problem to take some loops off, I'm wondering how it would look if I took off some loops on the bra? In looking at the design, all the loops are on a single string, there's 2 strings of loops, 1 on top of bra and 1 lower on the bra.

    Thoughts (before I repost)?

    Thanks

I sold mine rather than take it apart. But then I didn't love it-just liked it a lot.
I'm sure it is simple to do and easy to put back.

But if it is too much for your torso as it was for mine, you should either sell it or take some loops off.

If you are daring enough you could cut the swag at the joint (between swags) and burn (The string should melt) the ends so the strings don't come loose. If you don't like the set and want to sell, you can still sew the fringe back on with little or no trouble.

Release a few stitches of the lining and check if they are individually threaded.
I have a short torso and has performed "esthetic looping removal"on many costumes:)

i think there's been another petite dancer who has removed swags.... was it yolanda? she was able to remove them and keep them intact. i believe she re-sold it and i saw it on the swap meet....

I shortened the center loops on my GL bra. I loosened the lining and took a few loops (6 or 7) and tucked them, as flatly as possible, into the lining and sewed the lining back up. Now, if I decide to sell it I can just take the loops back down so the costume can be in it's original configuration. See photo - I still have plenty of loopage but I am not covering my torso. I like to do belly rolls and flutters and you can still see them well. BTW I have two GLs and did this to both of them. Hope this helps :-)

i did it for the middle one and the cups (it was making my books look droppy, at least to me. plus i have a short torso. the center swag was actually catching on the belt's big stone when i did undulations T_T)

what i did was to cut the loops in the middle, at the bottom of the loop, slide the beads off and make big-@$$ knots with the string at the base. you can make the knot pretty big because the beading hides it, and you HAVE to make it pretty big, so that it doesn't come out. i've worn it several times and all is well. ^_^

i don't suppose you have a silver in my size? care to just trade for one that's already been modified? ^_~

perfect, exactly what I'd like to do.
How many loops did you take up in the middle?
and how many on the cups?
