Thread: Upcoming shipment to Bellydance store... is it here yet?

I probably have a problem. lol! I keep compulsively checking the bellydancestore website for their new shipment. I need my fix.

I'm definitely looking forward to new Hodas and Emans, and I'm always a fan of Hanan. I saw pictures on Facebook of Eman's new silk line. Very pretty! I wonder if they'll have any of those.

I went to the the Bellydancestore location once and shopped in their basement. I was in heaven! And while I was trying things on, they were uploading pictures to their website of recently received costumes. Things were in the store that weren't on the website yet, and that very thought just makes me more impatient. The costume of my dreams could be being bought right now before I even get to see it!

I wish Dahlal's website was as easy to search as Bellydancstore's. I know a lot of people like to custom order, but I prefer to see what I'm getting, and there's no easy way on Dahlal to see a list of all their costumes in stock in my size. I think I'd be more likely to fly out to St Louis and sift through their inventory than to order something that doesn't exist yet from the comfort of my home. So unfortunately they only get my business when I see them at Rakkasah East, and since they don't carry a lot of D-cup costumes with them, that's even less of my money they're likely to get.

Nope, the shipment isn't up yet. (sigh)

In the mean time I'll just keep searching the swap board for the mythical most-beautiful-costume-evar. 34D, 42 low hips.

LOL! Don't worry you're not the only one....I also regularly check the website to see if new costumes have been added. I love to see new pretties!! (I might have an addiction forming....haha!)

And, OMG, I LOVE that pic of the silk Eman! I want one.....

I visit the BellyDanceStore.biz so often that a thumbnail of the homepage is on my chrome browser every time I open a new tab.

Oh wow that Eman is stunning. I'm amused that I just found some silk burnout fabric in a crazy rainbow print that I want to use for that exact style costume!

Must. Have. Eman.

The bellydancestore is waiting the shipment. Don't worry ladies, your dream costume is not being swooped up before getting on the website at this point in time.
The latest new I heard is that the shipment DID make it out of Egypt before this crisis... but from past experiences it can still take a while. Sometimes big shipments get held up in customs etc.
The shipment is going to have all the latest designer costumes... and goodness I might have to put some $ aside for a silk Eman.

... oh, and if you haven't seen posts on Facebook - many dancers and designers have checked in with each other... seems like the most common names we know everyone is safe over there. My heart goes out to them all.

This gorgeous new Sahar takes my breath away! Looks to be worth every penny of $1495. Lovely!!!

This Sahar I Have ordered directly from Sahar and it is ready yet. Now I can pay and she can ship it.....

think of me when you want to sell the blue sahar! but even 2nd hand will be too expensive for me. maybe wait till 6th-hand!

Unfortunately the Sahar shipment didn't include much for D's and DD's. :-(

I'm still hoping the Zaki sisters send something D-licious.

I'm having troupe costumes custom-made by King of the Nile in Cairo at the moment.

I e-mailed with Yaz the other day, he said it was his first time being able to come to the office in a week and the girls who do his beadwork had been afraid to leave their houses for a week or 10 days.

Our costumes have been delayed for a couple of weeks, assuming everything is calm in Cairo going forward (Insha'Allah and the creek don't rise!). Luckily our photographer understood and we've rescheduled our photo shoot!

We'll need to be patient while life returns to normal... but then the Egyptians will need our dollars more than ever!
