Is This A Bella?
I love this costume. Do you think it might be a Bella?

It could be, but it looks more like a Sim to me.

Re: Is This A Bella?
could be a bella or a sim or a legend but let's talk about the wide legged squats she does. see 3:24 for reference.

Re: Is This A Bella?
its a hard toss up for me. seems either a bella or sim ( or really good imitation). seemed like bella style but didnt look like it had her little B squiggles anywhere.(its what my bf calls em) and had the edge of the sim square design on the top of the bra. so idk lol

Re: Is This A Bella?
I think it looks like a bella, and I think she had a microphone clip on her right bra cup, and I think the Tulay influence is nice, but she needs to work on it a little more, and learn to really dance in those heels. She almost bit it after standing up from her little hut at the beginning, I think those shoes might be too much for her.

Ladies, it is no use critiquing Nuran Sultan's style. Skimpy costumes + plastic surgery + very little dancing = her trademark.
I don't condone what she does, but she's been very famous for a very long time now. More power to her for supporting herself that way.

What a gorgeous costume! Love the glimmering effects. Could be Bella or Sims. The dancing was different.

Re: Is This A Bella?
meh... the costume is okay- I really have come to the conclusion- I just really don't like seeing the whole leg all the way up the thigh to the belt.
I don't care how amazing you're legs are- it just look indecent to me- I don't mind a glimpse- but it just seems REALLY distracting to me to see the whole leg. And I'm far from a prude- so I feel funny saying that- but it just bothers me LOL
I like the colours and design- but as posted above- beautiful woman- beautiful costume- less than mediocre dancing- and you get Meeeeeh
would love to see it on someone else!

Re: Is This A Bella?
Speaking up for Turkish dance: traditionally, i.e., looking back as far as the 50s or so, Turkish costumes ARE very revealing, and dancers perform in high heels. Now, I love Turkish, but I agree, the costumes are certainly an acquired taste ;-) It's part of what dancers do. And, it beautifully accentuates some of the Turkish style characteristics - the big v-fringe shows off the hip articulations, the leg slits go nicely with floorwork, high kicks and hops. Just imagine doing a big Turkish-style kick or athletic floorwork in a tight Egyptian lycra skirt ;-)
In this case, for the peace of my mind, I assume the shadow we see on her right breast is a birthmark and she forgot to put concealer on that.

Re: Is This A Bella?
well yes they are revealing- we are talking about bra/belt and slit skirts.
But for some reason- just when the whole upper thigh is exposed- its just not flattering and doesn't do it for me- must be my old self LOL. I love when its closed at the stop- but with one foot in releve and a hip up with the other foot flat how the leg shows nicely... thats much more how I prefer it- but.. .as said- that certain costumes are acquired taste...
I <3 circle skirts though- so classy and timeless!

Re: Is This A Bella?
Thanks for all of the responses. I've never owned a Bella or a Sim, but now I might have to!
This video is not exactly my favorite belly dance performance of all time, but that blue color (with all those sparkles) is so mesmerizing!

Re: Is This A Bella?
Thanks for saying this SteffiB
I understand the concern over "is that her nipple peeking out?"... and I know I saw the side of her butt cheek. Full thigh slit is personal preference. I used to hate it, but have grown accustomed to it.
I agree with the questionable nature of her squats...it appears though that she is catering to the people surrounding her and interacting... which doesn't film so well as it's not so much about "the Art of Dance".
I'm going to say I think she's got more than just "pretty" and "is that even possible" body going for her though. I love Turkish style, though. I am also a firm believer that all dancers have strong points (and not so strong points).
Her timing is spot on- you can't fake that, and she does some good accents (sometimes).
I'm totally going to stick up for her spins, both traveling and in place. Her spins are EXCELLENT, they're controlled and neat, in time w the music, FAST and in those heels, no less... AND she stops on a dime. During her tabla solo she does a cute "tail spin" with her fringe. I liked her attitude at times during the 9/8... and attitude and feeling are very important in a 9/8. I've seen other clips of her with better 9/8 though, so I know she can feel it more though.
As to the Bella or Sim? I'm leaning towards thinking it's a Bella. But... not certain.
