Thread: fix a Bella skirt

k-bella-wego.jpg i have a used Bella like this---the last time i got it out to wear---i see the bottom of the skirt is tooooo dirty----i know it's 2 layers of chiffon--- but i can't figure out how to cut the chiffon for the skirt. Anyone have any good ideas?

I would probably just cut away the dirty chiffon skirts and use them as a pattern. Or actually make regular circle skirts, wear the circle skirt with the lycra portion on top and have someone pin them together. (The instructions for a circle skirt is on Shira's website.) Then you could simply cut away the upper portion that's beneath the lycra. (If you prefer someone else could wear the skirt and you could do the pinning. I have a body form so that simplifies the process, I can do it all without assistance.) If you are not comfortable doing the work maybe Eshta or another talented Bhuz-zer could be hired to assist you.

Maybe this is a silly question, but have you tried hand-washing it? I have a friend who washes her white bella often and with much success...

thanks---yes i think making the circle skirt is a good idea---maybe just very full instead of 2 layers.

the costume was washed and my friend tried to get the hem clean---just that dirt that shows up from wearing it---restaurant stuff---some wouldn't come off.
