Long-Lasting Paillettes? (spinoff of $1895??? Seriously???)

More experienced costumers: is there such thing as paillettes whose color won't rub/sweat off? (At least not without significant wear.) I heard once upon a time that there are different grades of sequins, but I can't recall the details.

After seeing the paillete monster in this thread (love it or hate it, you have to admit it's special!), I'm tempted to try working with them. But I don't want to go to the trouble if the color is just going to rub off.

My first mid-quality costume (the one in my profile pic in fact) had red sequins, and the color rubbed off, leaving silver patches under the arms.

I have yet to find paillettes that do not rub off and fade eventually. The best quality that I've used though are the ones you get from hobby lobby (forget the brand). They have lasted longer than other brands that I've used. I might try cartwrights as well. I've never bought paillettes from them, but their sequins are pretty good quality, so I'd imagine that their paillettes would be as well.

I never had a problem with the silver paillettes in the costume I mentioned in the original thread. But the colored paillettes have always had the color come off eventually.
