Thread: Short Fan Veils?

Hi:
I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get short fan veils (about a 12-16" veil part). I thought I had seen them a while ago, but they don't seem to be around anymore.

We are looking for something to use during a parade but don't want to have to worry about a long veil. We just need a flashy prop that we won't mind carry for 20 NY blocks.

Mh - you could buy a pair of cheap "normal" fan veils and just cut them to the length you like.

I know that Fairy Cove Designer Silks makes fans in a variety of lengths--there aren't any short ones posted on her site now, but it's well worth writing her to see what she might have on hand.

She'll do custom sizes, colours, etc. and may even have some in stock.

Over a year ago, I saw those in one of the many stores of Montreal's Chinatown. But I don't remember if they were silk or polyester...

You may also contact eBay vendors in Hongkong or China, like AsiaEmporium and ask them to customize you a pair.

We didn't really want to shell out for custom silk. As I mentioned we'll be marching in a parade so we want it to look striking but didn't want anything to have to worry about too much.
I had checked out Fairycove already and they didn't have any listed.
Checking out Chinatown may be a good option. If not I guess I see if I could purchase some inexpensive long ones and cut them to length.
