    Bra alteration question

I just got my lovely new coin set from King of the Nile (http://www.kingofthenile.com/proddet...rod=B11&cat=78). It is the correct size. I set the bra band to the correct length and set the halter to a shorter length. However, the bra cups tilted forward, leaving a gap above each breast, so I moved the straps about an inch inward on each cup. This successfully flattened the cup so that there was no gap. Now the outer corner of each cup digs in slightly, but that isn't noticeable from a distance.

I am still left with a little more cleavage than I am used to, which is exacerbated by the fact that the "girls" are slightly different sizes. It's not as bad in the attached picture as it was in another picture that I accidentally deleted. Should I add a little padding to the small side so that the cleavage is large but at least equal? Or should I run a little bandeau-style fabric across the front to downplay it like in the picture below?

(Halfway down the page, the gold bra picture titled "Salima and Hollie")http://elementsofdance.com/photo-gallery/

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

PS- The halter strap is as short as I can wear it without a chiropractor. The bra looks lower than it actually is because the coins hang down from the bottom of the band.

If you have to pad unevenly to make your bra look symmetric, you have to pad.

I'm not a big fan of the added cleavage spanners. I think it's difficult to make it look like an intentional, integrated part of the costume, as opposed to a very fancy, unusual, and reverse-engineered dickey. Does KOTN sell loose coins you could incorporate to build up the center in a way that would be a better match than just trying to wangle something out of whatever you can match at the fabric store? Would you consider wearing big accessories (a really long, full necklace) to take up some of the real estate on the front of your chest, if you left the bra as is?

Just looking at how the side of the band hits relative to your arm, I'm still thinking that it seems to be low (even taking the drop of the coins into account), but it's hard to tell. It might look different in person from a straight angle. If you ignore the straps for a second, and just treat the band and cups like a strapless bra, how does it fit? Where are the problems then?

    Re: Bra alteration question

Actually, looking at this, I would question whether or not the bra is as high as it can go. I say this based on the amount of side boobage visible. It does not appear as though the bottom of the cup is flush to the under curve of your breast.

Now, if this is the case, the chest band is not supporting your breasts, so there will be additional stress on your neck.

    Solutions:

1 - move the hooks so that the bra cups set right against the chest wall under the breasts.

2 - Create additional straps which run from the halter to the chest band so when you hook the halter, the additional straps take some of the weight.

3 - Pad the side of your bra which has the smaller breast. This will help with the slightly lopsided feeling you expressed.

4 - If you are not comfortable with the amount of cleavage you are showing once you have made the adjustments, then a modesty panel can be added. I might suggest that you think about different versions. Do you want something more integrated? Flesh coloured with beads to coordinate? swags of beads to distract the eye? Lots of choices.
