Feathers!? How do they stay on?!
How do you attach them to costumes? I have a bunch of peacock eye feathers and want to add them to a costume but have no idea how to...sewing?...glue?...I'm confuzzled! The costume has some long fringe on it so I need a way that the feathers still look amazing but won't fall off if the fridge contacts them.
Thanks in advance for ur advise

CAREFUL gluing and hand sewing... I don't touch feathers, because I am so messy w/ glue... the feathers, fabric, and my hands end up all glued and nasty.

Hi!
I did the same with my Peacock-Bella.
I just bound two feathers together with a thin gold wire as peacock-feathers have a front and a back and I wanted them to be gorgeous on both sides as they dangle. Then, I just stuffed the feathers into the pearl at the end of the fringes of my belt. That was it - and it doesn't fall out, too!

Re: Feathers!? How do they stay on?!
If you are heavy handed with glue (like me) I don't suggest using glue as your only source. Whenever I do it w/ feathers you end up with globs of glue that show thru beyond the feather. So my solution is 1 of 2 things if this happens: 1) put a rhinestone over the glue mark to hide or 2) make a droplet ball of glue at the tip of the feather bone and once this dries, sew the feather on using that as a stitch. All in all I prefer sewing rather than gluing... gluing in my opinion is cheap, easy, and doesn't last as long or look as pretty/finished/wellmade.

Another approach is to use the techniques for making feather jewelry, which will typically involve wire wrapping or crimp findings. There are lots of tutorials online.
