I'm about to start the process of making a gold bedlah, and dammit I want fringe! I've never tried anything like it, so I'm after inspiration... So, get 'em out, girls! (Close up shots of detailing is also very appreciated. ;D )

I have alot of fringy stuff both, I'll take some pictures tomorrow afternoon when my business meetings are done.

Andalee, those colours are great; I think I remember seeing that one as a work in progress, thinking that it was so amazing.. I love the chunky close up photos, it looks really effective!
Qamar, those are all lovely! The purple one looks great on you. Do you have any closeups of the gold belt? Is it just sequins with fringing over it?
Shahla, that's amazing, how long did it take you? Did you buy the fringing, or do it yourself? Also, did you make the bra from scratch, or cover an existing one? Cuz I'm looking to find out how to make a bra... If anyone knows who I should be asking, that's be great, too!

It took about two months. I bought the fringe already made (from a bhuzer). I covered an existing bra. I can't remember which one, but it was likely a Gilligan & OMalley bra. I buy them at Target and find they make great bra bases. If you've never made a bra before, I would recommend buying a booked called "Embellished Bras" by Dawn Devin Brown. It's a great resource for those just starting out. You'll probably tweek her method to suit your own needs, but it's a great place to start. I think there are some other free online tutorials on how to do it if you perhaps google it.

I'm such a fringe-a-holic. I can't imagine having a costume that didn't have at least a little fringe. I'm loving the photos of all the lovely fringey costumes in this thread. I'm glad to see there are still alot of fringe lovers out there.

Hum? I have other pics of the same photoshoot in high resolution at home.

There is a V shape bead-paillette fringe at the bottom of the belt and a 4 inches straight fringe on top of the belt (over the sequins as you mentioned!)

I LOVE the red one. It's got multiple layers of that fringe w/ the long twisted glass beads so it has a nice flow and weight to it. I'm going to use the red and pearl till it turns to dust!
