Attaching rhinestone chain to costume/bedlah- how to?

Hi Ladies :) I'm working on a new costume and wanted to make it sparkle like crazy. How do you attach rhinestone chain to your costumes? I'm inclined to sew (?) but would like a game plan before it arrives. Love to hear your tips and suggestions. Thanks!

I just sew it on. I whip stitch it on in between each stone.

yep. & use really strong thread (the metal kind of saws away at the thread when things shift)

yep same here, there is no other easier way to do it I think, if you will use a separate stones than you can easily put the needle through it:)

Yes. I agree. Craft thread from Gutt. or C&C... whip stitch every other link or every link (if you don't mind the work). I tend to prefer the metal chained rhinestones as opposed to the plastic, which doesn't seem to last as long but also won't snag veils. Also, wouldn't try glue... it looks cheap and doesn't last nearly as long as the sewing method.
