That looks exactly like the material I have at home here; a sheer, shot, lurex stretch knit. Quite light-weight, catches and reflects light from a million different angles, but looks almost invisible when backlit.

I haven't been able to find anything similar on the internet, but then again I'm only describing the material, not naming it (sorry, don't know the name... any help here, Valeskah?)

When I write "lurex knit veil" in google, I find this :
Adira Dance and Costume: Lurex Veil

    I don't understand, it's quiet different ...

I'm not familiar with the lurex knit others have mentioned, but it also reminds me of metallic silk organza somewhat:

... in case that is of any use to you.

I was sitting there thinking, I've seen something like this before somewhere... maybe Dahlal?

    https://www.dahlal.com/default.aspx?...1&s1=1161&s2=0

They have a "Lotus Skirt " and a "Reversible Chiffon Skirt with Metallic Shine"

That veil & skirt in the photos looks see-through, and it does look metallic... Especially the blue/purple compared to the red/red/red skirt.

I think it's that shiny, sheer knit stuff that shows up at Joann around Halloween time?

Is it this? I found it at a local fabric store and bought a ton because I wanna make pants and tops out of it one day! It's actually stretchy...I've also seen SharifWear pants and top sets made out of the exact same fabric.

That's the stuff I thought it might be too. I had a shirt made of it during the "show off your camisole" era. It doesn't feel very good but looks great.

    Gorgeous!

I've seen Yasser Galabeyas in this fabric, so maybe the veil came from him too

I was watching Dancing with the Stars last night, and the second showcase dancer in the very beginning of the show was wearing a costume that seemed to be made from this same fabric.

I cannot recall the name of the fabric either but it is a lightweight knit with a metallic shimmer. I do recall it tends to pick quite easily, rhinestones and coins can cause damage. I know Gaylene Dover has had similar fabric in black/gold, black/silver and blue/green shades. Her email is lilegypt1@aol.com. If you include a clipped picture from the video she can advise if she has any fabric available. If she doesn't have any of the fabric maybe she could give you the official name so you could continue your search. Gaylene is in Oregon.

That's the one! - it's definitely not the chiffon or organza, it has so much more flow and shine than those materials could ever produce, due to it's stretch and weight (yes it's light, but heavier than chiffon).
You can get it in different weights, the one I have at home right now is shot royal blue in one direction and turquoise in the other, and is heavy enough to not pick very easily. I've had my hands on some of the lighter ones, and they do tend to be a little more 'fragile'.
I'm still trying to track down a name for the material.....

edit: I've had some luck with "fog mesh" and "shimmer mesh" :)
