Thread: For Great Loop and Arabesque skirts lovers - Show us your cossies we want to see them! :P

Hi Everyone,
I think that Great loop and Arabesque skirts from Pharaonics are my sins! Show me that I am not alone!!!

Here a home made combo with a cream white and teal Arabesque (custom order by the previous owner here on Bhuz) and a turquoise great loop!
I did the similar combo with a black Arabesque skirt with red sequins and Red Great loop (or a black one I have), hope to post pics soon!!!!



Here my gold one with a gold mermaid skirt (not pharaonics).

I agree that Great Loops are great. Mine's red, and I had a double-layer skirt made from L.Rose in red on top and burgundy underneath. I also beaded extra loop swags in a slightly darker red to hang under and between the original loops on the costume. I also don't care for halter tops, so I made extra straps for the back of the bra that takes the pressure off my neck; it was a lot of extra work, but it was worth it. I know ... I'm nuts.

I would like to see all colours that exist in Great Loops....

Oh lordy! I only have one great loop now in Copper. But a ridiculous amount of arabesque skirts. It would take me forever to post all the pics up here!

I am thinking about getting a gold loop set, or if not that a gold icicles set :)

I just ordered a gold Icicles from Bellydance store - I'll let you know how it goes.

I used to have a copper loop, which now resides with Monsoon, but now just have a teal. Lots of Arabesque skirts, too (but not as many as Miz Monsoon, arabesque addict!)

I've owned a few Great Loops. I've had red, gold, turquoise and now I have a yellow. I just finished a velvet trumpet skirt with lace godets to go with it. I'll see if I can get a pic up tomorrow.

Here's my yellow Great Loop. I made the skirt and gauntlets myself. Forgive the "I just rolled out of bed" look, because that's just what happened. I rolled out of bed into this costume and had the SO take the picture this morning.

Very pretty! I love the skirt and gauntlets too.

Okay, I've grasped the essential nature of a Great Loops bedlah (the clue is in the name) and I think they look beautiful.

But what is an Arabesque skirt? Are they very different to any other style of skirt? They look like embellished chiffon to me- is that right?

Me too and Dahlal has one in yellow. I just can't justify spending that much on a skirt set when I can make my own.

The Arabesque skirt is just the style name the maker uses. Yes, it is just embellished chiffon but boy are they lovely!

I only wore my gold great loop 4 times, and paired it with either a white chiffon circle skirt, yellow chiffon circle skirt or green velvet mermaid skirt (don't have a pic of the last combo).

Yes, am also curious to see if there are raspberry/bordeaux or fushia Great Loops....

I was sure I saw a raspberry great loop at one point....
But they don't offer it anymore on Dahlal?
Anyone know where I could find one?

Or are there other bedlahs in this style that I could order in raspberry?

what clor skirt is that? teal? it is so pretty!

I dont know what color it is listed as. I went to the Bellydance Store, saw one I liked and just bought it. I think it looks more blue in the pics on the Bellydance Store site, though its more of a greeny-blue in real life.

I remove my head as I really did a stupid expression!



It is for sale as I think black is not really flattering on me with my pale skin! :(

A friend made it from teal mesh. I prefer to cover my arms a bit when I'm dancing, so I have a few of these!
