Thread: Ancient Reflections coin set questions

I've never bought one of these, but I've been looking for something like this for a while. Do you have one, and do you love it? What color metal did you get? Did you attach the bra and belt to bases? And If you have any pictures please share. ;-)

Here is a thread which has several photos. I used the word "mount" as in mount the costume, in the search option. If you search with "Ancient" you will also get quiet a few hits.

I love my brass mirror set. I mounted it to dark teal crushed velvet and have been able to wear it with many colors (teal, blue, white, red, green, black, etc.). The general public tends to like it too. Even though I have nice blingy/fringy costumes, I seem to get more compliments on the reflections set. People have specifically mentioned that they like the coins/sound. The sets are also pretty versatile I think. You can dress them up or down and wear them to almost any event. I've been able to use mine for stage shows, private gigs, nursing homes, and even renfaires/sca/belegarth.

The sets are heavy, but I think easier to transport because they are difficult to damage (no worries over ripping out fringe or breaking beads). You will need pliers to wrestle the set into a shape/size that works for you... especially if you mount it. I only have these older pictures right now from when the bra was a work in progress. I'll have to get current pictures up soon.
Bra: I added straps, tacked down a few more coin rows, and attached the side chains to the straps. I also made a head piece and bracelet out of the leftovers from the tummy drape.

Both the red and teal bases look gorgeous! I'm definitely leaning towards the brass color instead of the silver.
