Exclamation Shipping to Turkey - How long does it take?

Has anyone from the U.S. ever mailed a First-class International package to Bella in Istanbul? The guy at the post office told me it would take 7-10 days, It's been almost 3 weeks and I when I tracked the package it says:

Your item was processed through and left our RALEIGH, NC 27676 facility on April 11, 2011 at 9:21 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

April 11 was the day I shipped it and it doesn't have anymore recent information than that. Should I be concerned? Will Bella e-mail me to let me know she received the package?

Anyone? Surely there are more people who have shipped to Bella?

Re: Shipping to Turkey - How long does it take?

I've never shipped to Bella, but I work in shipping and logistics; I've shipped just about everywhere.

I've seen some packages take up to a month to get to various destinations - even when we paid for expedited services.

Have you only tracked online? I would definitely reccommend calling and talking to someone. They may be able to give you a better idea as to when it arrived in Turkey.

I would also recommend talking to someone at Bella; give them the tracking info, and see if they have the ability to talk to someone at the local service.

Generally, I recommend not using the USPS (FedEx and UPS have been very good to me) for overseas parcels. There is less control for the shipper because, once it gets to the destination country, their postal service takes over.

Not much help, sorry. I wish I had a more definitive response for you.
    Good luck!
