Thread: Pants sliding off hips...

Hi, all. Am I nuts, or is it just my body type? I have two pairs of tribal/yoga pants, one from Dahlal and one from my sister. They both keep falling down my hips. Is it just that I'm not used to wearing them so low? How do I keep them up?

Can you maybe sew in an elastic waist band? My Melodia pants have an elastic in the top that keeps them up perfectly, and I'm sadly lacking in the booty department.

My waist is actually the same width as my upper hip (working on that, but part of it is body type!) so yeah, I have this problem too. I do better with cotton than with slinky fabrics, but I still have to compensate by either adding/tightening elastic, or wearing something tight over the top of the pants (hip scarf, hip length super snug tank, etc.) I still have my old belly band from the last time I was pregnant (think tube top for your belly) and I've used them as kind of an elastic belt to keep my yoga pants up- it looks like I have a layered tank. I also have a couple boot cut unitards which I love because I feel much more secure.
