Has anybody here tried Comfort Dance Shoes?

There's not much information on the website, but I read an interview with the owner of the company talking about extra padding in the soles, even weight distribution between heel and ball of foot, wide sizes and all kinds of things to make a dancer with foot problems think yearningly of dancing in heels. Kind of wonder if they can be anything special at that price point, but you never know. Any experience with this brand?

I don't know this brand, but I've tried ALL kinds of ballroom shoes (been a ballroom/latin dancer/teacher for 18yrs).
I've got wide feet with issues, and have tried every "comfort" shoe I can find.

Things to be aware of/remember...
Padding in the sole only last for so long. The rest of the shoe *should* last much longer. I'd suggest getting one that fits really well and add an insert for comfort they're easily replaced when they need to be.
All ballroom shoes should have a steel shank in the heel and into the arch for support and weight distribution. So you'll probably feel more comfortable in a heel higher than other kinds of shoes, in my opinion.
Getting the right size/width shoe is most important. A too small shoe will make you feel tippy, but a too big shoe, your foot will slide around in (especially after it stretches - and it will) and then you have no real support. They should fit snuggly without hurting. They should stretch some (depends on the style and materials used) and if they are comfy right off the bat, they'll be too big in no time.

These "Comfort Dance Shoes"... look just like the Very Fine styles, so not sure what the difference it... Very Fine are cheaper, but I can't say yay or nay from experience with C D S.

If you get them (or anyone else here...) let me know what you think.

salsa - Q&A for you - where in the world should your toes be? I've heard they should hang off so you can grip the floor better? I find this crazy, and still haven't founf a comfortable shoe.

My personal opinion... As close to the end WITHOUT going over. Many ballroom dancers (competitive dancers) go for over the end, but that's because when you really point your toes, your toes end up not still at the end... IE. Kirstie Alley's shoes were too big because when she pointed her foot, her toes came out of the vamp... does that make sense? But if they're too short, the heel and arch are out of proportion for you.

Anyway, close to the end so you don't have excess shoe to get in the way, but not so close you're uncomfortable.

I'll take a pic of my feet in shoes and post them if you like so you can see what I mean.
