Thread: Anyone familiar with nude bodytights in costuming?

Hey ladies,

So I'm attempting to make my own version of the 'Venus Collection' costumes that the BD store has because I have a difficult body type to fit.

I've been experimenting with sewing beading/stones on tights with success, but I'm having trouble with the body tight. I purchased a 'heavy weight' body tight from Eurotard (haha), and I like the weight of the material but the back is too low to do a halter style that I'm looking for. It also doesn't conform to my midsection very well, which makes me look thick and boxy. I'm wondering if anyone has tried full body tights that they like/work better for costuming!

hmm, perhaps, but I don't have any experience with sewing mesh/ nylon type fabrics. Kinda scary! Plus its going to be so much work anyway, I think I'd prefer buying the base if I can find a suitable one. Thanks though!

I love the style of the "Venus"collection but was unsure about the stirrups (+Amira Kattans jumpsuits and the brazilian costumes designed for Lulu Sabongi are fab too)
...now you have inspired me to try make something with all the appliques left after pimping an old bra/belt set!

Indeed! Thanks for the links ladies!! Its a shame the euroskins one I ended up buying probably won't work out. Thinking of trying the Capezio one next, though I know it has a front seam. If I cover the seam with beading though I doubt it will be noticeable :)
