Thread: who makes costumes with stretch material bra bands?

Just bought a wonderful, used costume in which the halter band and back bra bands are an elastic, strong spandexy material instead of the usual cardboard cage it feels like you are putting yourself in. Feels so good, adjusts to me, and so supportive! Who makes more of these costumes? Not sure who made the costume I bought...

can you share a photo?

I've built costumes with elastic for the bra straps, similar to Sahar Okasha's costumes, but it was an actual elastic band covered in fabric, not a strong spandex. I'm curious to see what was done on yours.

I have a Legend with stretch, and I LOVE it! The skirt and arm drapes are L Rose, though. TaqsimsHayatem2.jpg

Over the years I preferred turkish costumes for elasticity...not because of style options;there´s a lot of lovely egyptian designs BUT I need the costume to follow my body and be soft to concentrate on the dancing...

I´ve haven´t seen a Legend,Bella,Sim etc or even the new Bellysu cosumes *without*stretch:)

I own / owned costumes from Sim Moda Evi, Sufel Boutique and Shimmyshop that were with elastic back and shoulder straps.

Though they feel comfortable I had to find out when dancing for my large D cup these bras don't give me enough support. So I finally ended up reinforcing all of these bras with an unstretchy band sewn to the backstraps and sometimes even the shoulder straps.

Remember Neckelmans? Some dancers didn't like them but I always liked mine, and it was cheap too - good for bellygrams

I was going to mention them. I have not read one negative comment about Neckelmann's, only good comments, yet nobody seems really interested in them. This past week I was perusing the swap forum specifically for Neckelmann's in my size, but none were to be found. I would like one of them to be my next costume purchase.

A Hoda I had recently had elastic on the back strap. The solid ungiving straps just don't work very well for me. On a costume I made I used the sturdy wide straps from a strapless bra for the underbust/back strap. That sucker isn't going anywhere and I had the bra on for several hours without discomfort.

I have a Hanan Egyptian style costume with stretchy back bra bands. It's really comfy. But they also make the non stretchy bra bands - I have a bra and belt set from them that's non-stretchy.
