Thread: FAKE bellybutton rings that stay on for performances?

Okay pathetic me is in the car right now crying because my pediatrician just informedme that my bellybutton piercing is infected and needs to be removed. It will take me 6 months before I can get it repeirced and I already spent $150 on the ring that can't be reused because of the infection. I've wanted this for years, I think it looks great in performances and now I don't have it. Fake bellybutton rings? I tried them once and I couldn't get it to stay on my bellybutton. Any that work?

Good for you for going to the doctor to have it checked out but it's probably best to not even try to wear the faux body jewelry until you are healed completely.

Would you be opposed to a pretty navel bindi? I've seen some really lovely ones and am tempted to buy a couple.

Another option are simple body jewels you could glue on individually with spirit gum or eyelash glue (though careful of your healing piercing).

I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions for you, but why can't your ring be autoclaved or otherwise sterilized and reused?

I am going to agree with gems and spirit gum. Or medical body glue. And yes, be careful about the healing point for a while.

Sedona - I am going to guess that Deborah has a metal allergy. And the bar is of that metal. The jewelry can be pricey if they include expensive stones.

I know this is necro-ing and way too late, but just in case you haven't thrown away that belly ring, you CAN re-use it.... just take it to a GOOD piercing shop (or tattoo shop in some cases) explain why, and then ask them to autoclave it for you! In most cases they can re-sterilize the jewelry with no problem!
