Thread: Where to find pearl fringe?

I have a bedlah that's been sitting around a while and I need to finish it. I envision it with cream/ivory pearl swags or fringe. I'd rather buy ready-made over making my own but can't find any source for readymade pearl trims. Anyone know a source?

I'm not sure I've ever seen pearl fringe prestrung in the same way that regular beaded fringe is sold, but that doesn't mean it isn't out there or you couldn't special order it. Are you hoping for large pearls, or white seed beads with an AB or luster finish?

Hi Tourbeau, thanks for the response. I was hoping to find 4mm glass pearls in a cream/ivory/champagne color. If it's out there, my web searches haven't found it. I may have to string my own, in which case I will probably go with swags because it would be less work I think.

In that case, I think most people make their own fringe. You might be able to find someone who would be willing to take on the job for you, though.

I don't know if this is quite what you're looking for but etsy can be a great source for those semi obsure costuming elements that us dancers always seek :)

I have never purchased that type of fringe. I would send them an email to inquire about the materials used.

I'd be worried about MJ trim not holding up strong shimmies and twists, I dunno.

That etsy fringe is very pretty. It could be a possibility if it's strong enough. Thanks for the link. I wouldn't have thought of etsy for fringe. :)
