Thread: New Products - What Have You Tried? August 2011

I learn so much from these threads, so I thought I'd start one again!

I'm really, really liking The Body Shop's Lip Scuff. I've noticed that reviews on several sites are mixed, but I've found that to be the case with many lip products - what works for some doesn't necessarily work for others! Anywho, I've been using it every night (before bed) since July 1 and the condition of my lips has improved sooooo much.

On the same visit to The Body Shop I picked up on of their Colorglide lip colors and have been happy with it, too. It doesn't dry out my lips like so many other lipsticks/glosses do and the color itself is subtle, really nice for casual wear.

Anyone else?

I've also been happy with a little $.99 baked eye shadow from Sally Beauty supply that I tried on a whim for Halloween last year. I've used it wet to edge my eyeliner for some *pop* as well as dry for shading purposes.

it was totally worth the price. my lashes have never looked so long. the only thing i dont like is that i have to put on several coats to make them look thick to my liking.
this mascara makes my lashes look super long and curled. my man asked if i was wearing falsies

Don't know if its a new product, but I just got the OPI RapiDry Topcoat.
It does everything it says! (see OPI)
Dries my nails in 90 seconds!
And coming from a clumsy person who always messes up her freshly painted nails, thats a huge plus!

I just tried Stila's Lip Stain in Acai Crush (I think that's the name). Very long lasting, beautiful red color, but the container isn't easy to use. It seems like you keep twisting the bottom of the container and wait forever for product to dispense.

I've been using Bumble & Bumble Styling Lotion for about six months whenever I use a heated styling tool or even with the pillow soft curlers and really like it. It definitely helps my hair hold curl (I have fine, straight hair).

I've discovered the Dermalogica skincare line. I love it for my combination skin. I use the "Special Cleansing Gel" in the morning followed by the "Multi Active Toner". Then I apply the "Oil Control Lotion" on my T-zone and the "Active Moist" on my cheeks. In the evening I do the same thing except I use their "Daily Microfoliant" for evening cleansing. It's work the best any skin care line I've tried including drug store varieties and more expensive ones like Aveda and Dr. Hauschka.
