How do you get that wet lipstick look?

I love this wet lipstick look for photos (I realize that excessive gloss can be a hazard to hair and veils while actually dancing), and I was wondering if anyone could clue me in as to how it's done.

Is it a particular type of lipstick? A particular technique?

I've used liquid lipstick and a lipstain + gloss stick combo, and, although those created shine, they never gave me this really wet look.

Apply a good lip balm, then apply your lipstick, after that a thin coat of clear lip gloss or lip sealer, then you should apply a make up seal (it's like hair spray for your face) so that your veils don't stick. That's what I do anyway.

The shiniest lipgloss I´ve tried(MAC Lipglass is good but not as shiny) is Sony Curvy Lip Silicone.(yes it is manufacured by Sony)

Very thick and shiny, does not dissolve lipstick/liner under it,and have no irritating ingredients.

Here you can see details, inexpensive for the quality:

Ainsley, I know how you feel about lip gloss - I can't even wear it in a daily setting. As for look I've seen lipstick sealers that initially leave this look, but after a while they REALLY dry up, so it isn't a solution for a full-time photoshoot.

    I understand what you mean,totally!
Haven´t been able to wear lip gloss daily until after I cut my hair in a pixie style...HATE when hair gets stuck to gloss*brrr*

I looked through my makeup box for the glosses I think gives the most glossy finish(I use everything from expensive to dirt cheap)and the most important attribute of all these were that they are very thick in consistency to fill out lines in lip...think syrup!

Im all about the MAC Pro Longwear line. Color and separate gloss. Wear it for all my photoshoots. Sticks so well, I usually still have it on the next day (sometimes whether I want to or not)
