Thread: super cheap silk veil option 36 inch wide

Aloha dancers, I recently had the opportunity to meet Sabrina of San Diego in person here in Hawaii (by the way I love meeting you all in person :) She was dancing that night at Pyramids, a beautiful but kind of tight spaced restaurant in Waikiki area. I gifted her a 36 inch wide veil, cut a bit longer than 3 yards, to go with her red costume. I watched her swirl it around the hotel room and am delighted with its effects.

I will now be offering on limited basis, silk veils that are 36 inch wide and made just a bit longer than three yards. Even for tall dancers, the difference in width from the standard 45 inch wide veils does not affect the amount of movements and veil tricks you can do with the veil. The flutter from the extra length is incredible. Flips over the head and twirls are EASY and you don't have to lift the veil as much to keep it from hitting the floor. Anyone who has ever brushed couscous with a wide veil knows the perils of using a wider veil in smaller spaces.

I'm sure the senior ladies will love them, most are petite sized and I won't let them have silks veils cause they're too big for them to manipulate. This is perfect

I'm so delighted seniors will be dancing with them..I have a few years experience as a registered nurse and most of my folks were the elderly generations and I adore them :)

The veil is lovely and perfect for tight restaurant spaces. I highly recommend them for dancing in smaller spaces!! All of the float and color magic. None of the vertical space management issues.

here's a photo of four silk veils in the 36 inch wide fabric..I make them a bit longer but as you can see there's plenty of silk to twist and play with..these four were dyed in the same color family..gold, caramel, copper and mahogany..

The show was so much fun. You have such a nice dance community. The Pyramids owner was very gracious too. We went to the Vampire bar but it was kinda dead. Haha. So we went to a tiny local karaoke bar and hung out with some locals and learned about lichee infusions. Wish you could've joined us. Beautiful photo!

I sure will..I have silk in stock and ready to dye when I get back to my apartment..after five months of waiting they are finally doing renovations so I'm in a hotel across the street until they finish the work..it's supposed to be done in two weeks so as soon as I'm back in (we all know projects run over) then I'll be mixing dyes and getting silk ready again.

Also the four tier gypsy skirts that are split leg like circle skirts will be available too..in both habotai and in a heavier top line crepe de chine..you won't be able to find the crepe de chine skirts anywhere else..they are all handpainted by myself (see album below for examples of crepe de chine that's been handpainted) will have choli vest as option too..custom measurements the whole deal..I'll be arranging so that dancers can pay the shipping to get a sample of crepe de chine..it's really a must see to appreciate fabric.

I'm just dead in the water until I can get back to my beloved OMNI computer it's sooo much faster than this dog, and all the photos are on the other computer ..

I'm about to give up on silk fan veils..I do believe Shaula makes some gorgeous fan veils..the ones I ordered are sitting somewhere out in customs..by the time they are dyed and arranged it will be 2012. I'm going to simplify. plus it's easy to get super cheap fan veils on ebay anyways..I'll still continue to dye the silk for fan veils if you want to glue it on yourself
