Thread: more clear bra band questions

Okay, I'm sure this is obvious to someone, just not to me. So- I finally got heavy weight vinyl in the mail and am all set to go... and I realize I don't know how one fits a closure on a bra with a clear bra band. I've done vinyl with a dress that needed extra support, but that had sufficient draping at the sides that I could do a side closure, but this one is a bit more daring. Do you have the closure in front, between the cups? if so, is there a convenient way to reinforce this closure to avoid major costuming malfunctions?

I sewed the heck out of my front closure and anchored it to the underwire of the bra cups.
I put the hook and eye on the back band just like a normal costume bra. I guess you could do the front, but it seems that it would make one cup stick out wonky because of the hook and eye part not being flat like the other anchored side would be.

If it helps, I think, on the costumes in the Russian forum thread, they have a back closure that they've covered in crystals.

The one's I've seen have a back closure hook and eye, and a giant rhinestone over the hook. Remember, vinyl stretches a bit when warm so err on the side of a bit too tight.
