    Trend of patterned skirts

I'm starting to really get into all the pretty patterned skirts that seem to be popular now in belly dance costuming.

I've been stalking saneil moda evi (the Gok brothers) on facebook and am loving the cute patterned skirts.

Does anyone have one? They look like they are made out of silky material...Do they get clingy/staticky when performing? I really want to buy one but I don't want to get one if they are going to cling to my skinny chicken legs when I dance

Oh, and feel free to post pics for me to drool ;-)

    Re: Trend of patterned skirts

I've got one this Summer! I chose the fabric myself.
Basically I just wanted something "different" from all my other one-color skirts (with or without beading). And I am all for animal prints right now

I even left aside my principal that a bra-belt set should be combinable with different skirts - the fabric goes all over the costume. It's really gorgeous.

I love them. But I am also laughing a little. back in the day there were so many 3 panel skirts made from patterned fabric! I think it's cool!

LOOOOOOOOOVE these ..what is their facebook link?

how much do they run on average (price) and is it hard to find a matching bedlah?

I really really like that the skirt is the focal point of the costume..how fun!

See this is what I'm talking about..(see my thread about collaborating) I can dye some really neat patterned skirts out of silk ..not interested in profit just in maybe making a trade with another dancer and having fun

I hope this trend continues (bored with lycra)

I love patterned skirts, especially when they are layered with plain skirts underneath and a strong coloured, sparkly bedlah!

While this skirt is not yours, it is a silk tie dye. (I have one of yours three panel skirts which is similar.)
