My dear husband watches me fingering glittery fabrics or frivolous trims (especially on sale!)and asks "Do you need that? WHAT exactly will you use it for? Hmm, I thought not..."

Need and desire, it's a fine line. Sometimes I admit, "He's right, I don't really need it."....other times I decide, "This will please me so much, I'll be in a good mood for weeks...he'll like that..."

Oooh, time to fill the gaps in my collection!

Incidentally, I had to convert a sleeve pattern into a bell sleeve in a totally-non-dance pattern... but your Arm Costume book was the one that explained what to do! Thanks!

Incidentally, I'd love to see a book from you one day showing how to make the most popular folk costumes... sure could have used one when we were struggling with the big fellaha dresses!
