Thread: Uk designers?

Calling...UK Folks. I am doing some research into home grown belly dance costume designers .
I am well aquainted with Mandy of Shimmyshop and Bev Smith of Beledi boutique and Rita of RUa bellydancer.
But I'd love to know about any others? These are all Northerners, of course and I'm sure there must
be people designing elsewhere. I'm not concerned about the volume of their work just their creativity.
Primarily I'm looking at "orientale" costumes but if someone specialises in Tribal I'd like to know of them.
I am not really interested in those who just make for themselves only those who are "in business".

Mayaan at Brighton Orient - she gets them made in Egypt but she designs them herself (I think)

No, she buys the fabric, but she doesn't design the costumes herself, she gets Egyptians to work with the fabric she takes them. She definitely uses Aziz and Noussa, possibly other designers too.

Ahhh, OK. They turn out really differenty (in a good way) though

Yes I was starting to look at tribal as well and she is one I do know of. Lovely to hear from you!

If you're looking at tribal, there's also Billie's Bazaar, based in Kent.
