How much would you pay for a russian costume?

How much would you pay for a brand new top of the line Russian costume? I am thinking of doing a wholesale order from a russian vendor (some to keep, some to sell). The costumes look really nice and high quality. would they sell for the same as a brand new bella or sim? Cause I've heard of dancers paying $1000 for a Russian costume and I think that is just OMG ridiculous....

so....on average...of those of you who have been drooling over russian costumes...how much would you plop down for one of these beauties in the retail market?

    Thanks!

Re: How much would you pay for a russian costume?

Based on the photos I've seen, and not having the luxury of seeing them or trying them on in person, I'd MUCH prefer to spend the money to go to Russia and try a bunch of them on :)

That said, if the quality and workmanship was up to par I'd pay MORE than I'd pay for a Bella or Sim because I like the new originality and big flowing skirts , funky arm bands and stuff. Of course if I was at the Bella location in person i'd feel the same way..shopping in person has its perks.

I guess I'd approach it like I do with other online shopping..I'd go to the shop in person if possible or go to a big dance event where someone was vending them, and try them on in person. Get to know my sizing and what looks like and then I'd be much more confident about buying online. I do this with Charlotte Russe 'cuz i loooove boots and we don't see much in Hawaii so I have to shop online. Same with Victoria secret stuff, once I know my size I'll shop online with more confidence

a purchase of that amount MUST have a refund policy including cost of shipping and customs

    Thanks for the input jesenia...

From what I've seen these costumes are excellently made and super original...But omg...they are sooo expensive. I don't know if it's even worth trying to buy some for me and some for sale. I don't know if it would be a good investment just cause everyone these days is experiencing such daunting financial times. ugh...decisions....decisions....

The price of costume depend on

    1) quality matrial (special nature)
    2) quantity of stones and brand - asfur or Swarovski
    3) size
    4) name of designer

The costumes cost from 500$ -3000$.

Russian designers usually don`t do copies of costume, every costume is individual.

Russian dancers usually change costume every dance season.

Old costumes they sell for half price here
