    Your favorite hair products?

We often share make-up faves, so let's talk hair! Do you have a hairspray or hair gel you love? A thermal-protectant product you can't live without? Pomade? Wax? Defrizzer? Glossy spray?

I'm still totally in love with my MoroccanOil, which takes down the poofiness of my short cut and smells great. I was surprised to find that when I use it, my hair dries faster. No idea why that is! During the height of the humid season, I tried the MoroccanOil Curl Enhancer mousse, but that didn't work quite so well for me.

I'm now seeking something with flexible, non-crunchy hold I can use when I put my hair up in hot rollers. (Would you believe my old hot rollers from the late 80s still work? I was stunned! Had to order new clips though.) Anybody out there have the perfect hot-roller hairspray?

I use herbal essence totally twisted for my mega curly hair but I'm currently on the lookout for a new curly hair product from a company that doesn't do animal testing...

but my absolute favorite thing is good ol' coconut oil! I put some on my hair every day after washing my hair and it keeps my usually dry hair moisturized and soft.

I can't go without my macadamia and argan oil mist. Super shiny, smells divine and is the only way I can get away with wearing my long hair loose everyday.

@tigerb I use a heat protect spray and a strong hold mousse before I put the rollers in. Works well, but the velour on my rollers is stained from doing this.

How do you like the velour rollers? Do you think they are better than the smooth rollers? I was wondering what the advantage is.

I couldn't say. I only bought my first set a couple of months ago so i have never tried the older style. I bought a babylis set because I had seen them successfully used in a you tube tutorial. I would guess that maybe it is to hold the hair a bit better when you wind them up.

Here is a pic of my hair after using the hot roller set. I pulled the curls out quite a bit as I wanted waves, not ringlets.

I love this Sephora: Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment: Hair & Scalp Treatments
From oct/10 - april/11 I was in California for an internship. The water there is so much more chlorinated than in Germany. My hair still hasn't recovered from that. Towards the end of my time in CA I got a small sample of this product (big enough for 3 uses) and I absolutely loved it! It gave my hair the shine and body back. But I didn't purchase it, because I knew I was going back home soon (with a suitcase already too heavy ) and thought my hair was going to recover anyway. I wish I had done it! I don't know where to buy it here since sephora doesn't ship to Germany. And the only place I found it was way waaaaayyyyy too expensive.
I can recommend it highly for dry or damaged hair that lacks shine. (I got wavy to curly hair)

I love Ouidad products (ouidad.com) for my curly hair, especially the deep treatment. Not as "natural" a product as I'd like, but they do not do animal testing.

If I had a lot more money (i.e., could justify the cost), I'd use Frederic Fekkai's shea butter stuff all the time. I got a sockful of samples from a friend, and not having access to a lifetime supply is just sad. It retails for about 30 bucks a bottle per product, and is the best stuff I have ever used.

Aveda makes a styling product called "Be Curly Curl Enhancer" that I love. A little goes a long way, so it's pretty economical, and smells wonderful. They have a whole line of this "Be Curly" stuff, at about 20 a pop, but it's the Curl Enhancer I love.

On the cheap side, Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise is a really, really good deep conditioner.

I actually really love my Moroccan Oil Curl Enhancer foam - but when I use it, I use it with a leave-in and after plopping, blow-dry my hair.

I also recently discovered (when I ran out of it), that Davines Momo Conditioner is AMAZING: Amazon.com: Davines Conditioner, Momo, 33.8-Ounces: Beauty

I was using a non-SLS natural shampoo with ylangylang and coconut for a while, and I loved the scent, but have caved and gone for Steiner Silver Brights, which is totally unnatural but leaves my hair far softer and more manageable. Plus it's purple. My hair is so short at present that yellow tones are not really a problem, but that's the other reason I chose it, to help cut any discoloration that may arise.

I use a really good hair product that protects my hair, prevents any damage, reduces the frizz and keeps my hair soft, shiny and healthy, it's Pro Naturals Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment with Heat Protector and I love it because my hair looks amazing , I totally recommend it ! :D

    Re: Your favorite hair products?

I used to have hair down past my bum and when I got married in 2007 I wanted (for the first time in my life) my hair to look neat and beautiful. I was going with kinda Edwardian relaxed look. My mum has despaired all my life at every photo of me looking scruffy. I have fine hair but LOTS of it. So it took 2 hairdressers 4 hours to do my hair and I told them I didn't want crispy hair, but lush and shiny. Well they did it, and they did it with a product that I secretly use even today. It's Redkin Liquid Glass. As a shampoo and conditioner I use Kadus Imunal colour therapy products. Now I should note that I dye the crap out of my hair and 6 months before my wedding I was a very bleached blonde..... I think the photo speaks for itself about how amazing these products are....
