Thread: Move Over Desert Swirls!

So I've been watching the "Lattice Intrigue" costumes in the new arrivals section on Dahlal. I have to say that this costume looks fantastic for the price. I'm digging the color combinations and shape of the decoration on the skirt. I mean you can tell from the close up pictures that they are a "budget" costume but boy do they look great. I'm tempted to try one but I like fringe or dangly bits on my costumes and I know I'm not the type to add embellishments or get creative.
Any one seen one of these in person? How do they look?

I would totally buy one if the bra wasn't Dina style, which I don't think would work on me. They look quite stylish and sleek.

I like the look but I fear the cups would be limiting. Also, the beaded design on the skirt could prove challenging to adjust the fit. That plus I read no special orders on that style.

I haven't seen it on a body but hanging it looks the same as photographed. I was however surprised at the bra bands. I thought they looked like the little straps you see on a lot of vintage pieces but they're actually attached to a clear plastic-looking strip.

I saw two dancers wearing them tonight. They both looked fantastic (they both happen to be fantastic-looking, though...)

The fishtail skirts had lots of swirly movement, too.

Personally, I like fringe on my own costumes though. I'm old-fashioned like that.

That's kind of an interesting detail about the straps. Details on an inexpensive costume are nice. I agree though, the rhinestone lattice on the hips seems like it would limit stretch.
