Thread: Help with first time custom order?

So I have a pretty simple but specific costume in mind that I want. A simple beaded bra and belt with a double layer skirt with a slit. All baby pink. Surprisingly it's been difficult to find. It doesn't help that even after years of spending way too much time scouring the internet drooling over costumes, I feel like I still haven't found the designers that I admire on other dancers. Can someone please list some designers and their sites that maybe be able to custom make me my costume? I also know there are some designers on Bhuz so I'll go ahead and lay out what I really want.

I think I'm pickiest about the bra top. No drapes or fancy patterns. Something like this but of course pink.



I'm just so intimidated by custom design! I ordered a beautiful bra and belt set from bellyshake.com but it was way too big and didnt look quite like pictured and had a lot of fixing to do.
Any tips about custom design or words of wisdom would be great. Thank you!

There are many other designers who do custom orders, but Sahar does simple designs just like you're looking for. Another designer that might make something simple like that pink is Eman Zaki. She does very nice lycra costumes with lovely, flattering skirts and solid beadwork. You can find her stuff on the belly dance store or on dahlal.com and a few other places.
