Hi, do you know where could I buy just a plain bra base in modern "demi" shape that Eman Zaki (or other designers) use? Like this one:

Are there any costumers who are selling just the bra base? Or any skilled bra-constructors between dancers on Bhuz? Thank you!!

I've not seen these in person so can't comment on the quality, but saw these on ebay:

well those are interesting- I might try that- I have been wanting to try that style and have been really unsuccessful with it- I picked up a nice balconette bra with very definite n shapes that the Eman's seem to have- I haven't gotten around to playing with it- but the bra itself fits pretty well so I'm hoping it will translate over to a decent costume bra.

Might try this for the next costume around- thanks for the link!

Thanks for both sites!! I am so tired of having to wire and stiffen my own bras! I am not skilled at it.

While we're on the subject of bra bases, how about the "football" shape ones that Dahlal calls "Demi" as opposed to "Dina"? Any sources for the type that Eman (rarely) and Hoda (often) use? Thank you girls! I am trying the e-bay store. I compared the shape with one eman zaki I have, and it's almost the same. The seller is willing to send me body picture of bra base on my e-mail, so I am waiting for it. I will post it here, so you have more info about this suplier.

I just bought an Eman Zaki pharaoh eagle costume, with football shaped bra in waaaay bigger size than I am. but it was such a bargain, that I couldnt resist :) My goal is to transfer fabric and beading (hopefuly this model is pretty simple:)) to new bra base in dina style with B cup. Original bra is D cup. Wish me luck, I was never skilled in this..

I am sure it will be an excellant learning experiance and will come out fabulously! :)

So they send me a picture of a bra on body, already used in a folkloric costume.
I think the cups are too much far apart, I will try to put a little bit of fabric on each cup to make the cleavage more V shaped in center. I tried to do little reconstruction in photoshop - attached :D

They have them in ALL sizes and the prices are so low.....great base bra's.

Toria, I think it would be great if you posted links to costumes you created with these forms etc. :) More people can see them.

I got bra from e-bay store in Egypt! It was nice, fast transaction, with good communication too. I can recommand.
I am attaching two pictures, I oredered a B cup and it's true B. All the straps are long enough, so you can adjust them to any size you want. It's plain, with no hooks, pretty hard, shape is great, I think it's awsome base for modern style costumes!
Note to the body picture: the bra is supposed to sit higher than on the photos, but since there are no hooks on the straps yet, it was hard to keep it on right place :))

I agree that it has a great shape, and I think it would look quite nice once made into a costume.

I am hesitant about ordering for myself, having looked at your close up photo of the inside, and at the quality of construction. Perhaps when covered it wouldn't make much of a difference, but the haphazard stitch lines and wonky seam allowances put me off. If the quality of the foundation is poor, I wouldn't expect the costume to last too long.
That said, it'd only be $23 to have one shipped to Australia, and it would certainly save time to buy rather than shape my own cups. I think I'd need to order one for myself, to see and feel it, in order to form a definite opinion.

That looks pretty good! Are the cups a little wonky? The stitching looks a bit uneven, but I guess none of that will show after it's covered. It arrived fast too, I think I'm going to order one to try. I like that they included straps.

Wow...that was fast. Did you request expedited shipping? I ordered one on Friday in the F size cup so maybe it will be here this week too :)

It was even faster actualy! I have received it exactly week ago, but I was ill and wasn't in the mood and shape to take photos of myself :)
