    Crazy body stocking idea?

I was wondering if some sort of shading on a body stocking could help give a better waist. I suffer from having a thin frame but a prominent tummy. I wonder if some sort of shading would help define the waistline better and help reduce the amount of light bouncing off the protruding parts.

Anyone tried this or seen examples of it?

Maybe even just a vertical stripe down the center that was slightly darker than the sides would help.

Although some darkness along the sides would be nice, too, I think.

I love that idea! I can also imagine a costume with ombre fabric combined with ombre mesh or an ombre body stocking. (Am I overusing the word ombre?)

    That sounds beautiful.

Don't know if anyone makes shaded or ombre mesh.

Tea as a subtle stain might work.

On an old bhuz thread about dresses there was a lovely example where a dancer wore a bra and skirt by were connected to each other by an hourglass shaped fabric on the torso.

These dresses from the bellydance store give the illusion of a smaller waist with the use of opaque and mesh material. Perhaps some concept could be applied to mesh shading.
