Thread: Pailette Panels skirt and veil set on Dahlal?

Do any of you have that? Item number ES10. I would like to know anything about it you can tell me. I realize it is just about the cheapest thing they have there, but I really like how it looks old school. Reminds me of some Ansuya wears, too, and I love that look. Would appreciate feedback before I shell out for it.

I've had them in the past. They are just like the ones Ansuya wears and are very effective for giving that look. They create a lot of flash and movement. It's a really nice piece for the price. Perfect for a student performance, and the general public always really enjoys that look as well.

I have a few of these. I think they are very nice sets for the price. The veils are nearly useless for dancing with- the heavily beaded edges make them too floppy. The skirts are very pretty, and have lots of movement without being as bulky as a circle skirt. They also look great when you spin. The GP loves them.

How sheer are they? I don't go for see-through...

Each layer is sheer chiffon, and some use thicker chiffon than others, but since the skirt has 2 or 3 layers the overall effect is not see-through. They do tend to have very high slits, and I usually sew the top few inches shut for additional modesty. I don't go for see-through either.

I couldn't stand it any longer and I ordered a black one! I was told it may be at my house on Friday and if it is and I can get it fitted and practice with it a bit, I may wear it to a gig on Saturday.
