Help me decide which colour combos work with the belt and skirt I'm making!
I'm very indecisive, but this is set to be a very bright skirt and belt. I've got the bra pretty much sussed- but I need more opinions for the lower half!
The first option is the orange skirt with a purple modesty panel on the side, plus a red/pink chiffon panel at the front and back. The belt is orange with silver sequins, lined with purple sequinned trim and the purple centrepiece (an old earring).
The second option is the same, however without the red/pink panels.
The third is the same as the second, but with some blue sequinned trim thrown in there too. (Not a huge fan of this option, but I am a huge fan of the blue sequinned trim and I'm trying to find a way to incorporate it!!).
Option four is pretty much the last few options combined- getting a bit too crazy!
Option five is using the purple modesty panel as the belt, and the red/pink panel as the modesty panel. I think this looks nice but I wonder if the purple as the belt makes the centrepiece and sequins not stand out enough.
And the final (I promise!) option is using the red/pink panel as the base for the belt.
For some reason BHUZ will only let me upload the first photo, so the photos are viewable here Bellydance Obsession: In need of Opinions
I'm really wanting to get this done but I need more opinions!Visit me at my bellydance blog!

I like option #1. The colors look good together. I don't think the addition of the turquoise in Options 3 & 4 does anything good, and the plain orange skirt in Option 2 is less interesting to me. Option 5 is okay, but I like #1 best. FWIW, that's my take on it.

Hi!
I like the fourth option best (without turquoise) - maybe, because it reminds me of my beloved Tropical Bella:Don't dream your live, life your dream!

Ooops - ok, it's option 1, then...The fourth option without turquoise is option 1! So 100% towards option 1 currently :P

i like the first option, if you really want the turqoise, make a turqoise skirt or a panel to wear with it.

My favorite is the one with the red chiffon panel, no turquoise. The red ties the orange and purple together, but the turquoise drives them apart IMO.

I'm going to jump in and say I can't really tell without seeing the bra, since, I imagine, you're making a belt to go with said bra that can be worn with many different skirt and pant combinations in time.
Generally speaking unless you're into tribal fusion or whatever the bra and belt match or at least tone.Driving Bhuzzers away with her awfulness since 2001!

I'll second that think the belt should pretty much match the bra -- same fabrics, same beads, stones, sequins, and then what the skirt should be depends on the bra/belt. If you make the bra out of different materials, and/or make it predominantly a different color, I think you run the risk of having it look very, well off, and not professional.
What was your plan for the bra?

I certainly wasn't going to make the bra an entirely different colour :) The bra is going to be covered with the orange material with the silver sequins, trimmed with the purple sequins across the top, a matching earring as the centrepiece of the bra, and some beading that matches the outfit hanging down

I love the orange red and purple together!
You can always do something later with turquoise such as red or lime green.
