Thread: any good online fabric stores?

I'm having a lot of difficulty finding (stretch) fabrics for costuming. In the regular fabric shops, the range they carry is so boring, at least here in Belgium. Does anyone know of an online store where I can find over the top lycra's? I know spandexworld.com has awesome fabrics and I love them, but their shipping costs are outrageous!
So does anyone purchase fabric online? And from which sites?

here's a site in Europe... www.glitterstof.nl, Stretchstof, 4-way stretch, Velours,lycra glitzer stoffe,Turnpakje Stof, Danspakje, Lycra, Spandex, Hologram 4-way Stretch, Gaasstof, mesh, Mystique, ... the fabrics are more expensive than what you find in US based sites, but they've got an awesome selection and shipping is reasonable.

Hope their fabric is a better quality than the one I just bought from an french online store (loosing all its glitter! My room looks like a fairy tale setting )

I was really pleased with the fabric I previously bought in spandexhouse but it coast me more in shipping and taxes than the fabric... (am I talking too much about my life?)

I concur, these are the king and queen!

Spandex House and Spandex World are generally my "go to" sources for fabric, but both of them have minimum orders. So, when I need smaller amounts of fabric, I go to Ebay. I can often find what I'm looking for there.

I don't think Denver Fabrics carries lycra or spandex anymore.

OMG! Thank you for starting this thread! I woke up this morning thinking I should post a request for a good on-line store to buy fabric from so I'm delighted to see someone else has beat me to it! The only fabric store (a Jo-Ann's) near me is about 40 plus miles away with a limited selection. And I hate driving down to the garment district in LA!
